Well, well, well... here we go again!
Start From 0 took 9th place in its first game jam, and now I’m uploading its first patch and submitting it to the Patch 1.1 Game Jam!
The first version of SF0 has over 2k plays and amazing comments here on itch.io—and especially on galaxy.click. :) I’m so thankful for that!
As I write this, there are less than 2 days until the submission deadline. I’m dropping this short update now and will work as hard as I can to improve things before the time limit.
Well, I’m running out of time here...

First Description
I created this prototype for the New Year's Incremental Game Jam 2026, inspired by the theme "Inception."
It’s a journey through the "beginnings" of coding—starting with binary and moving through symbols, colors, and octal. The UI isn't quite finished yet (especially for mobile), and there might be a few localization bugs.
This was my very first game jam, and I'm happy :)
I’m definitely willing to keep working on this if people enjoy the concept. Let me know what you think—feedback is always welcome!
Luminous hugs from Colatina, Brasil!

This is really fun, but a small tutorial would be nice.
Thank you Foxi! I'll add a tutorial after the Patch Notes Jam voting period is over :)
This is such a charming and thoughtful concept!
I really love how the game turns the foundations of coding into a playful journey—starting from binary and gradually unfolding into symbols, colors, and octal feels both educational and surprisingly meditative.
Even in its current state, the idea shines through clearly, and knowing this was your first game jam makes it even more impressive. The core experience is already engaging. Please keep working on this—there’s something genuinely special here. I’d love to see where you take it next.
Great job, and congrats on your first jam! 👏✨
thank you for your kindness, support and generosity ^.^ i wish this educational and surprisingly meditative vibes guide the way for this game together with the fun ^.^luminous hugs! om mani padme hum
Go ahead! Always ahead!
I really liked the esthetic, and the concept is good :)
I guess you could add different upgrades to help speed up things, like the synthesizing matters which becomes the bottleneck for the third art.
thank you! happy you liked it ^.
i totally agree with you about adding more upgrades and to balance the synthesizing speed to avoid bottlenecks ^.^
this is genuinely a fun concept I would love to see this expanded upon and I hope any comments that come after agree with this
thank you!!! it was an amazing idea to conceive and build, i'm so glad to receive a first comment like yours! sending love from Brasil :)
