A Bit Lost - Patch 0.2 (Prototype Playtest)
This is a simple prototype... I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback. Thank you!
Get the upgrades on the right sidebar second tab to walk fast, spend less stamina, and so on...
At first you will reborn in a different labyrinth when you die, but after 5 victories you will be able to reborn in the same labyrinth with the memory of seen deadends to avoid them....

I think what the other people are talking about is situations like this.

See the marked intersection. Now, despite the right path being an obvious dead end, it will continue to go down that path until every square is marked red, and inevitably die to the lava, instead of just taking a different path altogether.
thank you again :) if your bit goes to that right path and meet the red (!) tiles, do the bit come back painting to red the rest of the path?
I mean, sometimes we are getting back from a long path of dead ends and the lava kills us in the middle so the bit couldn't mark as red all the way back, but in the next time he goes there he should be marking as red the rest of the path...
well yes, it does paint the path red slowly, i guess people are just annoyed with how long it takes, or that it goes down the path in the first place, when there are only dead ends. rather than immediatly marking the entire path as red, the bit has to walk all the way in and back again.
hey, thank you again! i added somethings to make dead ends less anoying:
- the bit now overheat slower and cool faster
- you get 5 points per tile painted red when returning from a dead end
i know this don't fix the exact problem you are mentioning, but i hope it helps to make them less "oh no, what a waste of timeee"...
i'm also trying to work on a system so the player can 'change direction', but not sure when i will be able to finish it yet
That sounds great actually! Good idea.
thank you! ^.^ if you like, take a look at my other project called Start From 0 ^.^ it's like a "cousin" of A Bit Lost ^.^ maybe one day they will meet ~.~
Well this sucks. It's just been going up and down for the last 10 minutes and there's nothing i can do
hi! thank you for playing, have you found the upgrades tab?
i have, it has not helped. it got stuck in a dead end with lava behind it and every time it was close to overheating, it automatically cooled itself. same for recharging. had to refresh the page and start over.
thank you... the auto cooling and recharging is meant to help... with too much heat the bit get confuse, and with too low stamina/energy he cannot walk... :B
did the bit marking as red the dead ends have given some sense of progression? like "ok, I havent found the end but at least I wont step again on the tiles marked red"?
yes, sort of
Needs to get rid of routes that have dead ends connected to dead ends. My bit keeps running the same line that leads to multiple dead ends.
Agreed. The frustration of watching my bit almost reach a new area just to randomly turn around and run the same dead ends all over again makes me want to go do something else.
Hi! Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
At start, everytime the bit dies it reboots on a new labyrinth... When 5 stages are complete the bit receive the hability to restart on the same stage with the memory of dead ends already found and avoiding them...
have you bought upgrades in the right sidebard second tab? It would make it easier to achieve 5 victories...
Yes I have bought the upgrades. I was moving quite fast and well. But problem was the bit kept going down the same route, over and over and over. Even when other paths were available.
after the todays update it might gets easier and less anoying... the map % of increase after victory is smaller so its easier to win 5 levels and unlock the "restart the same map remembering the dead ends".... before it, everytime you die a new map is generated so it was never really taking a "same path" cause the map was different... this game includes a portion of luck... there are times i've passed some of the first levels in just 1 attempt... thanks for playing and commenting
